Themes for 2024 :
- We are missionaries of mercy
- Interculturality: developing a culture of encounter
- Centenary of the canonization of Saint John Eudes
March to November 2024
Three series of two videos to deepen our understanding of the spirituality of Saint John Eudes and its relevance to Eudist life.
Let us echo the words of Saint John Eudes, echoed by the 2022 General Assembly: "We are missionaries of mercy". It's a theme and a reality that we want to deepen. We will do so by listening to two witnesses:
- Sister Nidia Stella Quimbayo Garrido, Provincial Leader Colombia-Venezuela of the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd offers us: The challenges of mission to live mercy in contemporary society.
- Father Diego Jaramillo, Eudist, Minuto de Dios province, president of Minuto de Dios. Father Rafael Garcia-Herreros' mercy response to the challenges of our time.
The General Assembly invited us to reflect on a topical theme: Interculturality, to develop a culture of encounter, among ourselves and with all those we meet. A working team has been set up, led by Father Edem Afoutou, eudist, Province of Africa, General Councillor, Vicar of the Philippines. The team is proposing two reflection meetings in the form of workshops.
2025 will be a jubilee year for the whole Church, "Pilgrims of Hope", and also for the eudist family, with the centenary of the canonization of Saint John Eudes. To prepare for this, there will be two conferences:
- Father Daniel Doré, eudist, Province of France, archivist of the Congregation, will talk to us about the history of the canonization of Saint John Eudes.
- Father Higinio Lopera, Eudist, Province of Colombia, will help us understand why John Eudes is a saint.

Intercultural communication is essential in our increasingly globalized world. It helps us to understand and appreciate cultural differences, fostering more effective and enriching interactions.
As an international congregation with multiple cultures interacting within the framework of interprovinciality, WYC must take up the challenge of intercultural communication so that the life and light of God can continue to circulate within the congregation. (Cf. St John's prologue).
