Congregation Council 2024

Greetings to all the incorporated brothers, candidates and associates of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary. We have started our Congregational Council which is a very important instance of animation in the life of our provinces. The General Council and the Superior General, together with all the provincials and this time a representative for the associates, are meeting in Bogotá at the Valmaría house of the province of Colombia to deal with all the important topics of the congregation and to listen to the different reports of each of the provinces and the projects that are being developed since the last general assembly.

We thank God for all that the Lord continues to do for the congregation and ask all of you to continue praying for this meeting and for all the congregational projects. May God bless you!

The Eudists of the Province of Africa: committed to the service of the Church and society, particularly in education, pastoral work and the apostolate.

In Africa, the Eudists have contributed significantly to the education and formation of young people. They have created schools and colleges that offer quality education to students. They focus on the integral development of the person, emphasizing human and Christian values.

Paul Zogbladan, c.j.m. new Provincial Superior of Africa

Father Paul Zogbladan greets the Province and the Congregation on the occasion of his appointment as Provincial Superior of Africa. We thank God for the beginning of his journey at the head of this new province. We unite ourselves in prayer for the work that he will have to carry out from now on with the government of the whole Congregation.

En voiture, Jésus! takes us on a journey with religious and lay people who live the Church on the move. Father Gilles Rousselet travels by camper van through the twenty-seven steeples of his parish to meet its inhabitants, not very practicing, sometimes isolated, but often welcoming. - KTO TV

Jorge Luis Baquero, c.j.m.

For candidate Jorge Luis Baquero, Christian happiness can be perceived in two ways: "As a gift in which the Lord, at a given moment in life, reveals Himself to you and we grasp Him in our daily situations and experiences".

Jorge recounts that his experience with God began as part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal [...] Jorge Luis Baquero recounts that it was at the age of 17 that he came to know God more closely, feeling touched and loved, which prompted an ongoing journey where he experienced happiness as a task because it involves a decision on his part, "understanding the freedom to live exclusively for the one who loved him".
