With the 67th General Assembly coming to an end, the time has come to set sail on the sea of mission. There, we will be able to share with all, the experience that we lived and express to you the joys of a new impetus for our congregation. We go to meet you with hearts full of hope, faith and joy in the Lord who has gathered us, formed us and sent us.
During this assembly, we experienced a special moment: the election of the team that will beat the service of our Congregation for the next five years. We trust in the mercy of God and believe in faith that the election was illuminated by the light of the Holy Spirit. We ask everyone to unite in prayer for these brothers who, knowing our reality and forming the General Council, will know how to steer the boat of our Congregation on the waters towards which God sends it (Lk 5, 4-11; Jn 21, 2-11). In the way of synodality, it is with them that we will give life to the CJM for the mission.

I know that many followed it, prayed. Afterward, life takes us away, the mission takes our place. Then, we have little time to stop, in particular to perhaps read more about the content of these General Assembly proceedings and the decisions taken, even if in the provinces, efforts may have been made to present what was decided together at the General Assembly.
We Eudists, Missionaries of Mercy, want to boldly continue the mission of Jesus as an international Congregation going out, with our spiritual heritage and history, reading the signs of the times in the light of God's word, we hear the call to care for our neighbor (Luke 10:33-35, the parable of the Good Samaritan.
It's not a question of changing mission, but of living out these commitments in the mission that has been entrusted to us today. With all the great variety that exists in the Congregation today, we can no longer say that there is a single form of mission, if not a multifaceted one.
