Esperanza is a non-profit, non-sectarian, charitable corporation, dedicated to empowering the poor to help themselves bridging existing needs with available resources.

Invites low-income families who have the need for housing to participate in the collective effort of building their own home as well as helping others.

The San Diego Foundations purpose is to improve the quality of life within our communities by promoting and increasing responsible and effective philanthropy.

Concern for others is an abiding principle in ACCEL’s history,  demonstrated in business practices such as planting trees and contributing to literacy programs with money saved by publishing electronic manuals (vs. paper), and in time and monetary commitments to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and YMCA, to name a few. Now they have extended that concern to our neighbors across the US/Mexico Border.  In partnership with our group, Mission Circle, and Father Callahan, a Catholic priest who lives and works in Mexico’s poorest communities, the ACCEL team has built a house!!!
